The Weight of My Wings

It has taken me 7 years to write this book.
Seven years of starting, stopping, questioning and wondering, “Is this really necessary? Is it a must?”
There were moments I would sit down to write, only to stop because the words became too heavy and the tears came instead.
For years I asked, why me? Why this story? Why this pain? Why did I have to walk through this?
But seven years later, something has changed. I am no longer asking, “Why me?” I am asking, “Why not me?”
Why not use my story to remind someone that they are not alone? Why not allow God to turn my pain into purpose? Why not let my broken wings tell someone else that they, too, can rise?

My Mental Health Journey

Mental health is not just what I talk about. It is part of the story I live.

Why I Advocate

Mental health affects every part of our lives, yet many people still struggle in silence because of stigma, fear, or a lack of understanding. I advocate for open, compassionate conversations that encourage people to seek support, learn, and recognize that no one should have to face their mental health journey alone.

Education

Knowledge can help us better understand ourselves and support the people around us. Through accessible resources, I explore topics including depression, postpartum mental health, psychosis, bipolar disorder, suicide prevention, youth and men’s mental health, parenting, workplace well-being, faith, and the impact of stigma.

Stories of Hope

Every mental health journey is different, but stories of resilience can remind us that difficult seasons can change. Here, I share personal experiences and stories from people whose lives have been transformed through support, understanding, treatment, faith, and the courage to keep moving forward.
